The brilliant Chester-based four piece Mansun were a world apart from the other guitar groups of the 90’s. Despite being unusual, darkly humorous and distinctly non-Britpop, their excellent debut LP ‘Attack Of The Grey Lantern’ hit the top of the charts in 1997, a golden year for music.
